What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the over 110+ beneficial phytocannabinoids (plant based cannabinoids) found in the hemp variety of the Cannabis Sativa (HEMP) plant. Early cannabis research identified the cannabinoids CBD and THC as compounds that had multiple therapeutic properties for human and animal health. CBD and THC are the two most researched cannabinoids. One of the main differences between CBD and THC, specifically Delta-9 THC, is that CBD is non-psychoactive while THC does produce euphoric psychoactivity. Hemp is federally regulated to have less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC concentration.

CBDs therapeutic properties and calming effects include: pain relief, stress release, mood enhancement, reduced spasm and nausea response, sleep/wake cycle support and nerve pain support. Research is ongoing and more amazing benefits CBD are being discovered as well as the many benefits of other major and minor cannabinoids found in Cannabis Sativa (HEMP).
